Elyse N. Isolde is a fifth year Slytherin. She has long blonde hair, green eyes, and is about five foot seven. She is not usually nice, especially when she first meets you. Elyse can be very arrogant and seemingly has a superiority complex, but she usually has the sense to hide it (keyword being usually). Elyse is quite the Slytherin - and can be described as cruel, arrogant, ambitious, vivacious, easily amused, elitist, and highly critical of others. She seems to be without moral, and any real, human feelings she has she is quick to hide. Coming from a very pure bloodline, Elyse seems to have inherited the pureblood snobbery, but no one can be sure of what is true because she is quite the liar and has a habit of saying things for the shock value.

Elyse is highly skilled in potions and arithmancy, and both are two of the very few things she truly enjoys. However, she is fascinated by the dark arts - though she is unsure if it is just a passive fascination or something deeper - so she can usually get excellent grades in DADA, also. Her most hated subjects are herbology and history of magic. She detests herbology simply because the plants refuse to cooperate, and often will bruise her up pretty badly. Her only problem with history of magic is that she is too proud to learn about anything that she finds "beneath her". Also, because of her attitude, she often finds herself in detention or in the hospital wing.
Outside of the classroom, Elyse is fairly unsure of herself. Being fifteen, she is still discovering exactly who she is and is unsure of what she really wants to do with her life. Her hobbies are very odd for a pureblood Slytherin, and she keeps her classmates from knowing what she does in her spare time at all costs. She loves to cook - especially without magic, and is always looking forward to making great big cakes with lots of pink decorative frosting. Not only that, but Elyse gets weak-kneed at the sight of children and little animals. Elyse is very loyal to her family, and would rather be killed than dishonour the family's name. If she ever gets close enough to someone to consider them family, she will be quite nice to them, though she would still be Elyse. In addition, whenever someone does Elyse a favour, no matter how unpure they are, Elyse will return it whenever she can. Not out of kindness, but out of pride.
Elyse is obviously overly arrogant, ambitious and proud, and those very traits may eventually be her downfall. She despies muggle society, finding it barbaric, and cannot help but feel superior to muggle's in every way possible. She is obsessive, sometimes cruel, sometimes sadistic, opinionated, cunning and seems to be heartless. However, she can laugh at a lot of things (though she probably will never laugh with you, it's mostly at you). She can be brutually honest, so if you look fat in that outfit...she will tell you exactly how your rolls are hanging all over the place. She hates being proven wrong and will never admit to being at fault (or at least will only do so with as much resentment and anger in her voice that she can muster.)

Elyse adores Lorelai and thinks of her as an older sister, since they can snark and bitch and be typical girl Slytherins together. She also gets along with Amorisa (but who doesn't?), Tobias, Artemisia, and Zoey.

However, she despises: Jul, and they've hated each other FOREVER. Hannah, Calie, who she fought in the mud, and Colin, because he sucks. She recently decided Vincent was a lying pimp, also.

Elyse's family is a very wealthy pureblood family. She lives with both of her parents, Katarina and Jack Isolde. Her father looks down on halfbloods and muggleborns alike, while her mother is not quite as prejudice. Elyse's sister, Cintia Isolde (20), is rumoured to be with the deatheaters, but it is still to be proven true. Except for one Hufflepuff that brings the whole family shame, every single family member has been a Slytherin thus far.

Potions, potions, and more potions. Any Slytherin born under a water sign will excel at potions, and the Cancer Slytherin is no exception. The leadership ability and the lofty dreams of Cancer will also be emphasized; as will loyalty (directed for the most part to one's House). Slytherins born under the sign of Cancer will be more hard-shelled and less sentimental than other Cancers, but don't be fooled by their bossy, efficient exteriors. On the inside they are soft and needy, and they learn from a young age to hide this well. Slytherins born under water signs have another thing in common with each other: keen insight into what makes other people tick. These Slytherins are good at manipulating other people's emotions, and good as well at quickly learning the hidden stories behind the otherwise inexplicable actions of acquaintances. They never forget a cut or a kindness, so it is best to stay on their good side unless you want an obsessive, vindictive enemy.

In their personal relationships they are mentally a mixture of toughness and softness, often emotional and romantic to the point of sentimentality in their fantasies; but in real life and in marriage, their loving is not so sentimental but tenaciously loyal. The Cancerian has many potential faults. They can be untidy, sulky, devious, moody, inclined to self-pity because of an inferiority complex, brood on insults (very often imagined), yet are easily flattered. They can be tactless and difficult yet, because they are normally ambitious, they will curry favor by floating with majority opinions, outlooks and fashions of the day. As a result they often change their opinions and loyalties and, indeed, their occupations, and lack stability. They are easily corrupted and, because they are convincing romanticizers, can make successful confidence tricksters. Their romanticism in another sense make them ardent supporters of causes, for example a football team with whose heroes they can identify in a world of fantasy.
